BELGRADE (Reuters) – World number two Novak Djokovic settled an old score with a childhood rival when he beat Slovenian Blaz Kavcic 6-3 6-2 on Friday to reach the Serbia Open semi-finals.
The 23-year old Serb, who will meet compatriot and close friend Janko Tipsarevic on Saturday for a berth in Sunday’s final, showed some nerves in the second set before he stretched his unbeaten run in 2011 to 26 matches.

Belgrade took a big step towards a record fourth successive
league title after a superb Prince Tagoe goal gave them a 1-0

Ghana striker Tagoe, who joined Partizan on loan from

Soccer-Church loses appeal to have Belgrade derby postponed
BELGRADE, April 15 (Reuters) – The Belgrade derby between
Partizan and Red Star will go ahead on April 23 despite an
appeal by the Serbian Orthodox Church to reschedule it for after
the Easter holidays, a senior soccer official said Friday.
“It would have been possible if the two clubs had reached
such an agreement but they haven’t and the tight schedule leaves
no room for a postponement,” Serbian league commissioner
Branislav Delic told Reuters by telephone on Friday.
